Ornamentation
When you look at memorials in Churchyards or Cemeteries there are lots of different shapes, colours and sizes but there is also a similarity between them all. You may want to make the memorial slightly different.
In churchyards this will be limited to what you can do, but adding a moulding, pin-line, or simple non coloured design will help make the memorial more individual and should be allowed by the vicar.
In cemeteries there is more scope to making a unique memorial by choosing a more unusual shape or by adding an etched and coloured painting or design or in some cases a photo plaque. These will all need to be approved by the local authority but we will be able to advise you on what you can and cannot have.
